Hotel La Rosa sul Mare Review

If only all hotels were as romantic as this. The Hotel La Rosa sul Mare just outside Syracuse and perched on a cliff in the Plemmirio nature park. The views of the cliffs and sea from much of the hotel are breathtaking. We spent a lovely two hours here. Drinking coffee, chatting to some of the staff and viewing some of the rooms, it's a hard life. If you want to get away from it all and breath some sea air then this is the place. All rooms have a wonderful view of the sea front and the surrounding landscape is a picture postcard.

As with many hotels in Sicily, the décor needs a lick of paint but the space and location more than make up for it. The rooms are large, painted white and seem very modern. There's a choice of either a swimming pool with sun deck or if you like the real thing, there are steps down to the sea but beware you have to get in via some rocks.

Probably the most romantic hotel on the island.
