We arrived at the Hotel Forum around breakfast time and started the day with a cappuccino on the rooftop restaurant, bad idea. After this, it was almost impossible to remain impartial, as the views over the Forum were exceptional and the cappuccino wasn't too bad either. But, we are professionals and managed to remain calm throughout the rest of our tour.

The rooms at the Forum are typically small, but are modern and well maintained. All the 80 rooms come with en-suite bathroom, satellite TV, radio, telephone and for those visiting in the summer, air conditioning. It's really the location that's so important here, it couldn't really get be any better. You're literally 15 metres from the Forum and 150 metres to the Colesseum itself. A 4* hotel in a 5* area.
