Mala Strana means "little town" and is situated between the park and the river Vatva in Prague. This area of Prague is a quick walk around Prague Castle and the backdrop of the Vltava River is the regular haunt of many visiting film crews. Here within the lanes in Mala Strana with their authentic crumbled facades and darkened corners, your find cosy little pubs serving mulled wine on chilly nights.
Right in the center of "little town" is a lively square called Malostranské námęstí. Here you'll find baroque palaces mixing it with Renaissance townhouses housing cute crafts shops, jazz bars and tea rooms. Check out the Church of St Nicholas [Chrám sv Mikuláše], with its huge dome and belltower, a masterpiece of Killian Ignaz Dientzenhoffer and son. From here, you can stroll down one of the most enduring images of the city to Charles Bridge and from there to all the entertainments of Old Town.
